Is a pharmacy HIV test to do at home reliable?

Good morning, I would like to ask about a home hiv test from the pharmacy (eg Insti) . Is the negative result of this test reliable and does not need to deepen the diagnosis if it was performed after 3 months of risk and according to the instructions? Best regards

Studies have shown that the INSTI HIV test has a sensitivity of 99.8-100% and specificity of 99.5-99.8%.

Currently, home HIV tests are available in pharmacies, such as:

Regarding the HIV test for self-examination, Insti https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/110482/test-na-hiv-do-samokontroli-insti-test/apteki/ The manufacturer informs that: "Extensive research has shown that, when done correctly, the test is extremely accurate. The accuracy of medical tests is usually described in terms of sensitivity (the ratio of all normal positive and false negative results) and specificity (the ratio of all truly negative results to the sum of truly negative and false positives). Studies have shown that the INSTI HIV test has a sensitivity of 99.8-100% and specificity of 99.5-99.8%." Therefore, this is a very accurate test, but it should be remembered that it should be performed no earlier than 21-22 days after possible infection. Because in the case of HIV, the time of antibody production from the moment of infection is up to 3 months - to be sure, it is worth repeating the test after 3 months. In my opinion, the test should be repeated after 3 months and then it will be possible to exclude possible infection. More about HIV here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/co-warto-wiedziec-o-hiv-i-aids Hiv tests can also be done free of charge, without referral and anonymously at one of the consultation and diagnostic points (PKD). The result is ready to be collected – depending on the point – the next day or after a few days. About where such points are located here: https://aids.gov.pl/pkd/
