Hello. I have been taking Elicea (10 mg) since November. Now I'm sick, I have a terrible runny nose. I need something to stop the discharge from my nose. Can I take Cirrus Duo? Or something else equally effective but not reacting with escitalopram?

Cirrus Duo contains a combination of two active substances, cetirizine and pseudoephedrine. No interactions have been shown between escitalopram and pseudoephedrine that could adversely affect efficacy and safety. Between cetirizine and escitalopram, intercation was demonstrated, which may result in excessive sleepiness, concentration problems or dizziness. The simultaneous use of both drugs is not strictly contraindicated, but it is recommended to take precautions and if the above-mentioned symptoms are observed, the concomitant use of these drugs should be discontinued. If you experience interactions between the ingredients of Elicea and Cirrus Duo, an alternative may be the use of a topical nasal spray. There are m.in products available on the market containing a combination of xylometazoline nasal decongestant and ipratropium bromide - a compound whose use is aimed at reducing the amount of watery nasal discharge. An example of this type of product is Otrivin Ipra Max. Below you will find links to the pages of the above-mentioned products, where you can learn more about them, check availability, compare prices, and book the drug at the pharmacy of your choice or buy medicines online (not possible with Cirrus Duo): - https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/92229/cirrus-duo-tabletki-o-przedluzonym-uwalnianiu/apteki, - https://www.gdziepolek. en/products/58291/otrivin-ipra-max-aerosol/pharmacies. -
