Is it possible to take 10 mg of Citaxin and 5 mg of Escipram at the same time? The doctor told me to take it for a week, then stop taking Citaxin and start taking only Escipram 10 mg.

Citaxin and Escipram work exactly the same, belong to the same group of drugs, but are not equivalents. Citaxin contains Citalopram, Escipram contains Escitalopram. These are derivative substances, they slightly differ in structure, which can then translate into the effect exerted. The solution that the doctor proposed is not wrong. Antidepressants are not discontinued overnight, you should also gradually increase the dose to avoid possible side effects. Approximately Citaxin is 2 x weaker than Escipram, many doctors suggest this. Therefore, 10 mg of Citaxin and 5 mg of Escipram is simply equal to 10 mg of Escipram.
