Estazolam is a medicine available only with a doctor's prescription intended for short-term and emergency treatment of sleep disorders (e.g. night awakenings, problems falling asleep). The decision to modify the therapy should be made only after consultation with the attending physician. In addition, Estazolam should be discontinued gradually.
