If I have herpes on my lips, can I have sex with my partner (without oral sex) and we will be careful, i.e. not touching the mouth so as not to transfer herpes to the genitals, etc.

As I understand it, you mean whether the herpes virus from the mouth (specifically from saliva or follicular fluid) can spread to the genital area. This, of course, depends on the course of intercourse (the most dangerous would be oral sex), but it is possible. In this case, genital herpes could develop in a man caused by the HSV1 virus, if your partner has not already had contact with the virus (natural immunity is quite common in the population and re-infection is not possible).
