The active substance of the drug itself, alprazolam, is responsible for dry mouth during treatment with Alpragen. This is due to the mechanism of action of the said substance and its anticholinergic effect. This applies to all medicines belonging to the benzodiazepine group, to which alprazolam contained in Alpragen belongs. In this case, only the doctor can decide on the possible modification of treatment on the basis of the collected history and medical history.
