Is swelling of the ankle area during Orungal treatment a cause for concern?

After a week of therapy with the drug Ogungal 100, dosage of 2 tablets twice a day, terribly began to swell my feet and most of all in the area of the ankles. After a short consultation, the doctor said that there is nothing to worry about and after a few days the swelling should disappear, but almost a week passes and the situation does not improve. Should I stop taking the medicine and not continue the next two doses?

According to the Summary of Product Characteristics, leg swelling is not mentioned as an adverse reaction to Orungal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/58085/orungal-kapsulki/apteki So the doctor was right to consider these symptoms as unrelated to taking the medicine. It is difficult for me to propose a specific cause and method of solving the problem based on such a short description. However, given the heat that has accompanied us recently, I would suspect venous insufficiency associated with the weather. However, if you are concerned about your health, it is best to talk about it with the attending physician familiar with your current medical records in detail. I also encourage you to report the occurrence of side effects of the preparation. Reporting side effects increases control over commercially available medicines. We wrote about how and why to report side effects in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane
