Both Depralin and Escitalopram (e.g. actavis) have the same active substance, escitalopram. Drugs are their substitutes - they have the same active substance, have the same effect and therapeutic indication, but may differ in price, excipients or bioequivalence. Drugs with the active substance escitalopram can affect body weight, but they can both increase and decrease it. In addition, these drugs affect appetite - they can reduce or increase appetite. Therefore, with these drugs, it is impossible to say unequivocally that they will definitely increase body weight.
