The use of amoxicillin (the active ingredient in Ospamox) is not recommended in people who have had a severe immediate hypersensitivity reaction (i.e. anaphylaxis) to another beta-lactam medicine, e.g. cefuroxime (the active ingredient in Zinnat). In case of a mild allergic reaction, your doctor may consider using this antibiotic in a person with an allergy to cefuroxime.
