Are magnesium and potassium ions antagonists?

Do the ions and magnesium contained in aspargin at the same time not eliminate each other? I've heard they're antagonists.

Aspargin to lek zawierający jony potasu oraz jony magnezu. Oba wchłaniają się i są transportowane innymi kanałami, stąd nie są antagonistami i nie konkurują ze sobą.
