Why does the PectoDrill leaflet say not to give to children under 2 years old? What can be the risk of giving the drug to a one-year-old child?
The doctor prescribed Pecto Drill to a one-year-old child, weighing 10kg in a dose of 2x2ml. The leaflet says that it is forbidden to give to children under 2 years of age. I understand that the doctor has written this drug "off label" but I would like to know why the leaflet says not to give under 2 years, what can be the risk of giving PD to a one-year-old child?

Ulotka zawiera informację, aby nie stosować leku u dzieci poniżej 2 lat, gdyż nie przeprowadzono badań, które potwierdzają bezpieczeństwo i skuteczność leku u dzieci w tej grupie wiekowej. W związku z tym, że nie prowadzono badań podania leku tak małym dzieciom, nie opisano, czym może grozić podanie leku PectoDrill rocznemu dziecku.
