Zawarty w produkcie leczniczym Nexpram escitalopram jest lekiem przeciwdepresyjnym, wykazującym działanie przeciwlękowe. Lek, sam w sobie, nie wykazuje działania przeciwpadaczkowego, jednak może być stosowany jako leczenie wspomagające terapię uzależnienia od alkoholu, jak również jako podstawowe leczenie depresji u pacjentów z padaczką alkoholową.
