Can Szelazo SR be taken in the evening after dinner with dairy products?
9.99 zł

Can you take shellazo SR in the evening after dinner, in which dairy products such as cheese or eggs have been eaten? I know that in the case of regular iron you should keep an interval of about 2 hours, but the supplement leaflet contains information to take immediately after a meal and whether the extended-release form in this case reduces the risk of lower absorption?

Yes, Szelazo + SR in extended-release form can be taken in the evening after dinner with dairy products such as cheese or eggs. The extended-release form reduces the risk of lower iron absorption compared to regular iron supplementation.

The iron chelate and vitamins in Szelazo + SR are released gradually, which facilitates their absorption regardless of the time of intake and the composition of the meal. In addition, the presence of vitamin C in the preparation increases the absorption of iron.

Therefore, in the case of Szelazo + SR, there is no need to keep a time interval from a meal containing dairy products, unlike ordinary iron supplementation. The leaflet of the preparation recommends taking it immediately after a meal.
