Tea is an infusion made from the leaves or buds of various varieties of plants in the Chinese tea species. It is commonly believed that the term "tea" is also used to describe other infusions made from medicinal herbs, which can be intended for both internal and external use. There are teas available on the market in the form of sachets or herbs for brewing. They can be a mixture of herbs, or they can consist of a single ingredient. Herbs for brewing are usually characterized by several health-promoting properties. Among the most popular ones, we can distinguish sage with anti-inflammatory and astringent properties, chamomile with soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as mint supporting digestion, or fennel with carminative properties. In febrile states, infusions of linden inflorescence are often used to support the work of the liver, artichoke or milk thistle, and sedatively - lemon balm.
