Good morning. I got a dietary supplement Sevinal Opti (Vermelin), but unfortunately in addition to vitamins and minerals, it also contains plant extracts such as: rosehip extract, Peruvian mole root extract (100 mg), pumpkin fruit extract (100 mg), saw palmetto fruit extract (60 mg), Bukko Birch leaf extract (60 mg) and corn stigma extract (60 mg). The given mg values refer to 2 capsules, I planned to take 1 daily. I have been taking hormonal contraception in the form of Evra patches for 1.5 years, so I meticulously checked the composition of drugs and supplements. In the above-mentioned ingredients I found only information that hormonal contraception may be a contraindication to the use of saw palmetto extracts, but such information concerned preparations containing about 500-600 mg of extract, where here one capsule contains 30 mg. Summarizing... Can I use transdermal hormonal contraception or will it be risky? Thank you in advance for your reply:)
