Good morning, A few days ago, due to a very high fever, sore throat making it difficult to swallow and a raid on and purulent plugs in almonds (in addition, I did tests to exclude COVID and flu), I received by teleadvice guidelines for the use of Ospen 1500 for 10 days 2x a day. After 3-4 days the fever stopped, the same with a sore throat, unfortunately, there was a constant, severe abdominal pain. At the next consultation, after 5 days of treatment, unfortunately with another doctor, it was suggested to me that prescribing Ospen (or any other antibiotic) was a mistake because the doctor does not see a trace of bacterial infection. It was recommended to stop the treatment immediately, without prescribing another antibiotic. Discontinuation of use actually eliminated abdominal pain, although I am afraid of the recurrence of angina. The doctor who originally prescribed it indicated that 10 days is necessary to rule out possible carriers. Should I consult another doctor to strengthen antibiotic therapy with another agent?
