Good morning - I have a question about what are the cheaper substitutes for Clexane 0.4 mg. Dad, 84, is recovering from a hip fracture that occurred in May. For the first month Clexane was free, now it is fully paid. Because Dad is not yet walking well, not as mobile as he was before the accident, he has to take anticoagulant injections until he is fully mobile, which can go on for a long time. The price of Clexane is PLN 120 for 10 injections - the monthly cost is over PLN 360. In addition, there are the costs of other drugs, pampsers - expenses of PLN 1000 per month. Private visits, care - this consumes several additional thousands. Dad is also treated for aneurysms in the lower extremities, - 172.4 . He treated for them before the fall and took Vessel Due. The vascular surgeon told us to ask the GP to prescribe Clexane at a discount, but the GP says Clexane was only due for 4 weeks free after breaking his hip. What options do we have? I know Claxane is at a discount, about $40 for 10 injections, but would Dad be eligible for that? Thank you very much and please reply. Yours Bożena Bishop bozenabiskup@yahoo.com
