Good morning.
I used hormonal contraception for 1.5 months. First I took Activia daily but because of the headaches, the doctor prescribed me Limetic. I felt unwell on them, i.e. I had numbness in my hands and feet, a throbbing sensation in my calves and pain in my legs despite normal blood results (complete blood count, all blood clotting factors). Now I'm afraid of the effects of withdrawal, i.e. acne problems and hair loss. In general, I was diagnosed with PCOS at some point, but I have never had any skin problems. When asked by the gynecologist about these effects, she said that hair loss would not take place, and the same should be fine with the skin. However, I don't feel confident with this information given the fact that many women struggle with these symptoms, plus my reporting of numbness and throbbing in my calves and pain was ignored. It's been the 3rd day of stopping the pills and the above-mentioned symptoms have passed, so I'm convinced that it was the fault of the pills.
What are the chances that even with such a short use of the pills (1.5 months) you may experience negative withdrawal effects: acne, hair loss, thyroid problems?
