Hello.
I use hormonal contraception. I also started treatment for irritable bowel syndrome (I didn't have diarrhea or vomiting), but for a month now, when intestinal complaints appeared, I have been defecating up to four times a day. I take contraception at 7 p.m., and the need to use the toilet takes place in the morning and during the day, in the afternoon. It is very rare that I defecate in the evening after taking a pill. Today I passed four stools, yesterday three, on Sunday two, and on Saturday also three - these are examples from recent days. The stools are mostly of normal consistency, although today I passed two looser ones, and on Sunday I had the impression of one-day constipation, where defecation was more difficult. I use sodium butyrate and Duspatalin Retard. Symptoms with the intestines may have a nervous background, I am currently two days before going on vacation and I am quite stressed about it. Therefore, does regularly using contraception at fixed hours, when diarrhea or vomiting has never occurred after taking the pill, effectively protect against pregnancy? I will also add that on 10.09 I had a vaginal ultrasound performed. The description of the examination states that the endometrium is 3.21 mm. I know that the thin endometrium is due to the contraception used. Can this be confirmed? During the last ultrasound examination performed in February before the start of contraception, the endometrium was determined to be 11.61 mm with information about the dominant follicle with a diameter of 2.04 mm. Should I use additional contraceptive methods in the case of intercourse in the coming days? In addition to interrupted intercourse, is it also worth getting a condom?
Thank you and best regards.
