I will be changing the Ginoring disc for Slinda tablets. In the leaflet he writes that 1 tablet should be taken on the day of removing the disc, but the gynecologist told me to take 1 tablet only when I start bleeding from withdrawal (i.e. usually 3 days after removing the disc). Could this have bad effects? Will I need to apply additional protection?

According to the manufacturer, it is appropriate to take the first Slinda tablet on the day of removal of the Ginoring disc - then the protection is maintained and there is no need for additional contraception. If you start using Slinda 3 days after removing the disc - the protection may be reduced. The manufacturer recommends that you then use an additional form of contraception in the form of a condom for the first 7 days of using the tablets.
