What to take for colds when using Betaloc?

Hello. I take half a tablet of betaloc 25mg per night. I got rid of a cold and drank gripex hot. What should be the interval between these drugs? Due to the fact that for the night I have to drink gripex hot again, I'm afraid to take betaloc. When is the best time to take betaloc? What medications can I take when taking betaloc when it comes to colds, headache, sinus pain and runny nose. Best regards

It is not recommended to use Gripex Hot with Betaloc, due to the possible interaction of one of the components of Gripex - phenylephrine with metoprolol (the active substance of Betaloc). Simultaneous intake of these substances may, but does not have to, lead to hypertensive crisis. Betaloc releases the active substance at a constant rate for 20 hours, so the time interval between Gripex and Betaloc is not so important. By keeping the distance, the risk of a possible interaction is not reduced. Also, do not suddenly stop treatment with Betaloc and change the time of its intake. When taking Betaloc, for a cold symptom such as a headache, you can use agents containing paracetamol, e.g. Apap (https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/5684/apap-tabletki-powlekane/apteki), Paracetamol Aurovitas (https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/101028/paracetamol-aurovitas-tabletki/apteki). Preparations containing herbal extracts such as Sinupret (https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/71358/sinupret-drazetki/apteki) or Sinulan (https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/71353/sinulan-forte-tabletki-powlekane/apteki) will work well in the case of residual secretion in the sinuses. They cause thinning and make it easier to get rid of.
