Does biotin affect the result of the pregnancy test?

Hello, does biotin affect beta hcg and give false negative results? So how much should it be discontinued before making beta hcg from blood? If the last time I took biotin about 2 weeks ago, and I did a blood test on March 3 (at the same time 3 weeks after the last intercourse) is it reliable?

To @Marta: Biotin has no such properties. This is not possible. If you have any concerns, please consult your gynecologist. If you are not able to consult your doctor, you can use the teleadvice here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-ginekologiem

Hello, is it possible that the biotin you are taking may have caused the beta level to be excluded from the blood to zero in the fifth week of pregnancy?

You can find information that biotin, depending on the dose, may make it difficult to detect the pregnancy hormone from the blood, and in the urine test causes the control line not to be visible, making the test "invalid". Discontinuation of biotin for about seven days (some sources give shorter - it is best to ask in the laboratory) before testing that biotin may interfere with should be sufficient. As for the interval between the test and intercourse, the test after 3 weeks after intercourse should show pregnancy, if it happened.
