According to the information contained in the Summary of Product Characteristics, Melatonin should be used in disturbances of the circadian rhythm of sleep and wakefulness from 1 mg to 5 mg per day one hour before bedtime. Although no case of overdose has been reported, the specific antidote to melatonin is not known - therefore, the recommended doses of the drug should not be exceeded.
