Influenza B is a viral infection, antibiotics (Sumamed) are effective in treating bacterial infections. Therefore, there are no grounds for administering antibiotics - unless the doctor recommends otherwise, e.g. if an opportunistic infection occurs (i.e. infection with another pathogen occurring in people with reduced immunity as a result of an infection, e.g. viral). Please remember that you should not use antibiotics without the express recommendation of your doctor. A poorly chosen substance may do more harm than help, in addition, bacterial resistance to the antibiotic may develop and in the future it will no longer show effectiveness in treatment. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/blog/antybiotyki-czy-przestana-dzialac
