Hello, the dermatologist diagnosed me with tinea versicolor and prescribed me Flucofast capsules 100mg, at a dose of 2x1 per day for 14 days. From what I read, for this type of disease the maximum dose is 700mg per week. Is the dose recommended by the doctor a safe dose? Thanks

The doctor, based on his knowledge and the latest research, may recommend a dosage of the drug other than that indicated in his leaflet - this is called "off-label" treatment. You can read more about it in our article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami If you have doubts whether there was a mistake, you should contact the doctor who ordered the treatment. The use of Flucofast at a dose of 200 mg per day is not contraindicated and does not pose a danger to health.
