Siofor is a prescription drug, so it is the doctor who decides about the need to use the drug in you. Not only the test results are important here, but also the entire clinical picture (e.g. overweight, other diseases, diseases in the family, etc.). The concentration of glucose in the morning, fasting in the range of 100 to 125 mg / dl is an indication for deepening the diagnosis and performing a load test of 75 g of glucose. There is no specific fasting glucose level in the guidelines that would have to be exceeded to prescribe a drug to the patient. The doctor can prescribe your medicine, even if he did not find diabetes in you, but only pre-diabetes, this is an "off-label treatment" that we wrote about here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami It is the doctor who makes clinical decisions based on his knowledge. If you doubt a doctor, it is always worth consulting another endocrinologist. If it is not possible to visit a stationary visit, I encourage you to use the teleadvice offered, m.in. by the portal Gdziepolek.pl: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
