In the process of using Atywia I have a bloated belly and spotting. Should I stop taking the medicine?

Hello, I'm just finishing the first pack of Aktywia Daily. Is it normal that throughout the period of taking the pills I had a bloated belly, problems with defecation (sometimes bleeding occurred) and spotting? Should I report it and ask for a change of pills or wait until these symptoms disappear?

If the indicated symptoms make it very difficult for you to function (bloated belly, problems with defecation), they are not related, for example, to the way of nutrition, a small amount of fluids, but you suspect that the cause is a drug, it is worth reporting these symptoms to the doctor. They may or may not be related to the medicine used. However, irregular spotting and bleeding may occur during the first 2-3 months of using hormonal contraception and cycle assessment, bleeding irregularities are usually carried out after this transitional period. If blood appears in the stool (and does not come from the vagina) - it is worth consulting with a general practitioner. When it comes to changing tablets, a lot depends on your well-being and individual assessment of your situation by the doctor. I leave a link to a video that may interest you:
