Hello! After giving birth, I was given Novynette tablets and tolerated them well for 5 years, but due to the dramatically low level of libido, despite the exclusion of other influencing factors, the gynecologist prescribed me Drovelis. Do I have a chance to regain the former desire for intercourse only by changing the tablets or are there any reasons for it to be a change to Drovelis tablets?

Decreased libido is a common undesirable phenomenon that occurs during the use of hormonal contraception. It is also observed in women using Drovelis, according to the Summary of Product Characteristics, even more often than with Novynette. Interestingly, in the latest research (2019), it has not been shown that taking oral hormonal contraception directly affects libido. A higher probability is found to be used by antidepressants, B-blockers or antiestrogens. In most cases, sexological psychotherapy turns out to be useful, which I encourage. The general state of our health (diet, physical activity, mental state) has an extremely large impact. Article you may be interested in: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/stosowanie-lekow-a-seks
