I am currently halfway through the Vixpo pack and I had bleeding today as if I had my period - what could be the cause, should I go to the gynecologist?

Good morning. She has been taking vixpo contraceptive pills for a year and a half. I'm currently on half the pack and I was bleeding today as if I had my period. The last bleeding while taking the placebo pills was normal, and now suddenly during the usual hormonal pill my blood flies. What could be the reason for this, should I go to the gynecologist? I am 19 years old

Birth control pills may cause reduced cycle control; Usually, however, after such a long time, intracyclic bleeding no longer occurs. It is worth thinking whether there have been any recent changes in your life that could have affected the cycle disorder, e.g. stress, different diet, diseases, etc. It is also worth seeking medical advice - especially if the situation persists or the problem worsens.
