Good morning, is there any prescription medication without lactose? The doctor prescribed me Propranolol Accord, which was supposed to be lactose-free according to the data he found :( Unfortunately, in the pharmacy it turned out that it contains, and for me even the smallest doses of lactose are felt in medicines

Propranolol is a drug from the group of non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blockers. Equivalents of the drug available on the Polish market, i.e. preparations containing the same active substance in the same dose, also contain lactose. Unfortunately, I have not found preparations that belong to the same group of drugs that have overlapping indications for use and do not contain lactose. Beta-blockers are divided into non-selective, e.g. propranolol, and selective. In the group of selective beta-blockers used in hypertension there are preparations that do not contain lactose, these are, for example: Corectin - the active substance is bisoprolol https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/19824/corectin-5-tabletki-powlekane/apteki Betaxolol PMCS - the active substance is betaxolol https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/10496/betaxolol-pmcs-tabletki/apteki Betaloc ZOK - the active substance is metoprolol https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/10478/betaloc-zok-50-tabletki-o-przedluzonym-uwalnianiu/apteki The drugs listed above belong to the same group of drugs as propranolol, but they differ, among others, in selectivity of action. Introducing them into treatment is possible only on the recommendation of a doctor who will assess their use as correct in a given patient. I enclose materials that may be interesting and information about the possibility of using teleconsultation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/nadcisnienie https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
