Hello. I got a paronychia on my finger. Right next to the nail, on the right side. First, I used ichthyol ointment, soaked in warm water with the addition of gray soap or soda. I tried to squeeze as much oil as I could. Later I used Tribiotic. However, I still feel pain when touched. Are there any other remedies in the pharmacy that I can use without a prescription? I have the impression that the condition is not very bad, looking at the finger it is slightly reddened in this place and you can see the place where the pus escaped.

The procedure implemented by you is correct. A warm bath based on water and gray soap not only relieves inflammation, but also brings relief, because water in combination with gray soap has an anti-swelling effect and causes the pus to remove itself. Over-the-counter paronychia inflammation relief agents also include: preparations containing octenidine dihydrochloride (e.g. Octenisept) – the wound should be disinfected (with waiting at least 1 minute before dry wiping) each time the dressing is changed. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/87829/octenisept-aerozol-aerozol/apteki Rivanol - it is worth digging your finger in it, it is best to repeat the action several times a day, preferably in series. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/67687/rivanol-0-1-plyn/apteki If you do not notice any improvement after a few days (5-7 days), I encourage you to consult a doctor.
