Will the use of Helicid Control affect the result of the home test on H.Pyloria?

Is it possible to perform a test from the pharmacy for helicobacter pylori if you have been taking a proton pump inhibitor (helicid control) for 7 days? The point is, will it affect the result?

The use of a drug from the group of pump inhibitors will not affect the result of the test. They only reduce the level of stomach acids and do not have a direct effect on the quantity/viability of bacteria. There are two types of tests available in pharmacies: blood and fecal tests. Blood tests, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/24303/domowe-laboratorium-helicobacter-test-test/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/96620/pylori-screen-test-na-helicobacter-pylori-test/apteki detect the presence of IgG antibodies and confirm the body's contact with the bacterium. For this reason, these tests are not suitable for use in people who have previously taken drugs to eradicate H.Pyloria, as they may indicate a false positive result (IgG antibodies remain in the blood even after the elimination of bacteria) Fecal tests, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/24302/domowe-laboratorium-helicobacter-antygen-test-test/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/106022/test-helicobacter-pylori-kasetkowy-diather-test/apteki allow the detection of existing and ongoing Infection. These tests detect the presence of an antigen, a substance that produces antibodies to bacteria. They can be performed by people who have undergone treatment against H.Pyloria. Blood or fecal tests can be purchased online, with the option of delivery to a selected address or picked up at a selected location. If the test done at home comes out positive, you should, of course, see a doctor.
