I have a question whether the drug Torecan works only for a moment, ie for the duration of action and then the symptoms return again or if you get a little longer it works therapeutically in the long run? It is about the use in severe nausea, probably stomach

To @Ewa731: This is a medicine that fights symptoms. It only works when used. Discontinuation of therapy may cause a recurrence of symptoms. The fact that you will be taking the drug longer will not cause the symptoms not to return. According to the manufacturer: "The antiemetic effect of Torecan is the result of action on the emetic center in the reticular formation of the medulla oblongata and on the chemoreceptor zone triggering the gag reflex in the IV ventricle of the brain. Blocking these structures interrupts the efferent signals that excite effectors, which are instruments of the emetic process. It is likely that thiethylcherazine also inhibits the afferent impulses of the autonomic nervous system through the vagus nerve. The antiemetic effect occurs 30 minutes after oral administration of the drug and lasts about 4 hours."
It is also about whether, despite the withdrawal after some time, it will help a little in healing for a long time?

Torecan is a medicine intended for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, e.g. after surgery, cancer chemotherapy, radiotherapy, etc. Its half-life is about 12 hours. It is a symptomatic drug - it regulates the structures in the brain responsible for the processes associated with vomiting and dizziness. The gdziepolek.pl service also allows you to book the drug in the nearest stationary pharmacy upon presentation of a prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/79560/torecan-tabletki-powlekane/apteki
