I take mycrogynon 21 tablets, on Tuesday (24.01) I took the last tablet, the next one I will take next Tuesday. (31.01) On Thursday we had intercourse, and on Saturday I became very ill. I'm afraid it will end up with an antibiotic. The question is: is there a risk of pregnancy if I start taking antibiotics on day 1 (first week) of using the pills? What to do in such a situation to minimize the risk? Let go of the antibiotic?

To @Kttt: If the change took place correctly, then yes - the contraceptive protection is preserved, and the relations before the change remain safeguarded.
If you change your contraception and take a new preparation, is the effectiveness maintained when it comes to previous intercourse? The new preparation is also two-component (atywia daily)

Possible use of the antibiotic should be started on the day it is prescribed by the doctor. Procrastination with antibiotics may worsen the symptoms of the disease. In order to minimize the risk of possible pregnancy, it is recommended to use an additional method of contraception throughout the period of antibiotic therapy and for at least 7 days after its completion. Previous intercourse is protected against pregnancy, provided that you start a new pack of Microgynon-21 correctly: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/48863/microgynon-21-tabletki-powlekane/apteki We wrote about what drugs weaken the effectiveness of contraception in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jakie-leki-oslabiaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji https://youtu.be/7uF0925Pi-U
