Good morning. I wanted to make sure that using Solderol 7000IU every other day is really safe? So recommended the doctor, and from what I read, this dose of 7000 is rather weekly. A few years ago, another doctor just prescribed me - once a week. for 3 months, and now the doctor recommended every other day 1tablet and prescribed 3 op.). For this I have Osteogenon (2x / div.) and Calperos (1x / div.) Please answer. Best regards

According to the information contained in the Summary of Product Characteristics - Solderol 7000 IU contains an amount corresponding to a weekly dose of vitamin D, and the dose should be determined by the doctor. Therefore, as a rule, the dose of 7000 should be taken once a week. However, your doctor may prescribe a different way (unusual) than described in this leaflet. It all depends on the level of vitamins, minerals, your health and test results. We wrote about it here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami In your case, it is necessary to frequently monitor the concentration of both vitamin D3 and calcium, phosphates. If you are concerned about your doctor's advice on how to use this medicine, please consult your doctor. Unfortunately, I do not know the exact data of your case. The doctor, on his own responsibility, may prescribe medication in the same way as above, i.e. every other day. You should be aware that excessive supply of vitamin D3 can lead to overdose and health risks. Please do not stop taking medication yourself and do not modify the frequency of use.
