Hello, I have a rather urgent question. 1) If after cipronex I had side effects in the form of knee pain and depression, is there a good chance that I will also have it after levox? 2) Can side effects persist for a long time despite withdrawal?

1. Cipronex and Levoxa contain different active substances. Admittedly, they belong to the same group of chemotherapeutic agents, the so-called quinolones, but they belong to different generations (ciprofloxacin contained in Cipronex is classified as second-generation quinolones, levofloxacin contained in the Levoxa medicinal product is a representative of third generation quinolones). These drugs differ not only in the range of indications for use, but also in their safety profile and the type and frequency of side effects. The occurrence of certain adverse reactions during treatment with Cipronex does not prejudge the risk of side effects during treatment with Levoxa. 2. Side effects observed during treatment with these drugs usually disappear shortly after the end of use. About whether it is worth being afraid of the side effects of drugs can be read in the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/czy-bac-sie-dzialan-niepozadanych-lekow
