Why is it recommended to take a lower dose of the same ingredient as in the drug?

hello, In these tablets there is a dose of 600 mg and the recommended frequency of taking 1 x a day (and this is not a drug but a supplement). And why in others (a well-known drug for E......... Max ) , also the same dose of 600 mg) recommended frequency is up to 3 x capsule 600 mg?

You did not give the name of the preparation to which the question refers. Dietary supplements differ from drugs in that they are not intended to treat, but only to supplement dietary deficiencies. Therefore, sometimes you can find a difference in the recommended dosage of the same substance found in the drug and supplement. The recommended daily doses in the drug will be higher, because the preparation is supposed to have a therapeutic effect, which may require a higher dose, but e.g. for a shorter period of time. Thank you for your reply. I meant to compare Essetil Forte 600 mg (supplement, dosage 1 x 1 capsule) and Essentiale Max 600 mg (drug - dosage 3 x 1 capsule). As for the latter (medicine), according to the leaflet "The length of treatment is not limited"
