Hello. Pregabalin zentiva was used in me to relieve spontaneous tremors of the hands. I have been using it for several months (first 2x75 g, and now 2 x 150 g). So far the effect is opposite. The tremor intensified. There are also side effects (drowsiness, memory problems, high heart rate, etc.) The doctor says that you need more time. Should I continue this treatment?

The approximate time after which the first effects of pregabalin can be seen is usually about 3-4 weeks from the start of regular intake of the substance. This time may change depending on, m.in the patient's health condition, the indication in which the drug is used, whether the patient has comorbidities and takes other medicines. Unwanted reactions such as tremor, somnolence and forgetfulness have been reported frequently with pregabalin. If side effects prevent normal functioning, please consult your doctor again. Self-discontinuation of the preparation is inadvisable.
