I take isoptin 40 but. ? I have asthma and after about an hour after swallowing the tablet there is an asthma attack. Bronchospasm is such that it just suffocates me. The cardiologist said that this was not possible. There is no information about this anywhere

Hi, I have a very similar problem I'm after ablation, the doctor prescribed me Isoptin after some time I noticed that it is harder for me to breathe as if I lack air, although I try to control the symptoms of shortness of breath I feel, when I sit, for example, I lie down, I sleep, it is as if I feel less of these shortness of breath, while the movement intensifies., greetings.
I have had a cardiac ablation of supraventricular tachycardia. I have PoChP and I can't take isoptin either. My cardiologist said it was impossible, and yet I confirm that it was possible. We have a hard life, because we can take few cardiac medicines without consequences.

Bronchospasm and shortness of breath are possible side effects of Isoptin - they are described in the documentation of the drug (page 6 of the leaflet), however, the frequency is unknown. Therefore, it is not possible to determine from the available data how often this side effect occurs in the population and how likely it is that the drug contributes to bronchospasm.
