Does Diaprel MR 30 cause visual disturbances?

Good morning. For three days I have been taking the drug Diapril MR 30 1x2 tablets. I started to have vision problems. Could it be related to this medicine? I am very concerned about this.

Visual disturbances are a possible side effect of Diaprel, especially at the initial stage of treatment. This is related to changes in blood glucose levels. This symptom should pass with time. It should be remembered that when using oral antidiabetic drugs from the group of sulfonylurea derivatives (i.e. Diaprel), hypoglycemia = hypoglycemia can easily occur. In addition to the symptom described by you, m.in may appear: headache, nausea, fatigue, drowsiness, impaired concentration, dullness, feeling of helplessness, etc. That is why self-control, i.e. regular measurement of blood glucose levels, is so important during treatment. The meter can be obtained free of charge at a medical clinic or pharmacy. It is also worth carrying something to eat with you (e.g. candy or liquid glucose in sachets dedicated to diabetics: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/99103/symdiab-glukoza-plyn/apteki) to quickly raise the level of glucose in the blood in the event of hypoglycemia. Glucose in this form can be purchased online, with on-site collection at a selected pharmacy or delivery to the address. I will also remind you that during the treatment of diabetes, a proper diet is of fundamental importance, mainly the regularity of meals and the consumption of products with a low glycemic index. This will avoid fluctuations in blood glucose - products with a high index (those with easily digestible carbohydrates - eg white bread, fruit, sweet rolls, etc.) will quickly and for a short time raise the level of glucose in the blood to a high level, followed by a large drop, where symptoms of hypoglycemia may appear. Tables with glycemic indexes are easily accessible on websites.
