Can a pharmacist sell 3 packs of 10 tablets of Rybelsus instead of 1 pack of 30 tablets?

I have a prescription for Rybelsus 3 mg 30 tablets. It is not available anywhere. Packages of 10 pcs are available. Can a pharmacist sell me 3 packs of 10 tablets even though I have 30 in the package on the prescription?

To @Bibi:

In UK, Rybelsus (semaglutide) is a prescription-only drug and cannot be purchased without a prescription for weight loss.

Rybelsus is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) antidiabetic medicine used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adult patients. Although this drug can also cause weight loss as a side effect, it is not officially registered as a weight loss drug.

According to the Summary of Product Characteristics for Rybelsus, it is contraindicated in patients without type 2 diabetes mellitus, as well as in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis. This means that it cannot be prescribed solely for the purpose of weight loss in people without a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes.

Yes, the pharmacist can dispense the product in a different packaging, so that the final amount of the active substance is the same. I send a link to the availability of Rybelsus 3 mg in Poland: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/111644/rybelsus-tabletki/apteki/w-polsce I also leave a link to an article that may interest you: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/blog/edukacja-diabetologiczna-pacjenci-pytaja-farmaceutow-o-cukrzyce

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
