Is Aciprex a strong drug?

Aciprex - like any drug - is tested for effectiveness and safety. The medicine is obtained with a prescription, so it is not a substance that can be used as self-medication or at your own discretion. However, this drug cannot be judged in terms of "strong" or "weak". The drug has its specific indications, and the potency can be modified with a dose. Escitalopram (the active ingredient in Aciprex) comes standard in doses of 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg and 20 mg. The maximum dose is therefore four times higher than the one you received. Any medication may - but does not have to - cause side effects. All of them are described in the leaflet, but this does not mean that every side effect will occur. Or none may appear. Sometimes side effects are more severe at the beginning of therapy, but sometimes they can persist for a long time.
