From August 27 I started taking birth control pills, tomorrow will be the 21st day of the pill, or if I start taking antibiotics today, will my menstruation shift? I'm going to see a gynecologist today because I'm feeling a vaginal infection and I think I'm going to be taking an antibiotic like last time. I am afraid that menstruation will not appear during these 7 days

Menstruation should not be postponed as a result of taking antibiotics, while antibiotic therapy may weaken the effectiveness of hormonal contraception. In such a situation, it is worth using additional protection (condom). Taking antibiotics causes a change in the bacterial flora in the vagina and an increased risk of intimate infections. The use of contraceptive pills may change the pH of the vagina and increase its dryness. These two factors also favor the development of intimate infections and if it is a recurrent ailment, the problem should be consulted with a gynecologist.
