Good morning, I suffer from hypothyroidism and therefore I am taking eutyrox and have been taking contraception for several months. A week ago I started taking dostinex (half a tablet per week) because of too high prolactin (about 50). Instead of a period, only minor spotting appeared. Is this normal while taking the medicine or should I consult a doctor? I will add that spotting appeared yesterday, so theoretically menstruation continues.

One of the indications for the use of Dostinex is precisely menstrual disorders (absence, scanty or irregular menstruation): https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/24511/dostinex-tabletki/apteki When taking birth control pills, any bleeding disorders should be consulted with a gynecologist. If you are unable to get to your doctor, the gdziepolek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-ginekologiem I enclose additional information that may be helpful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/antykoncepcja-hormonalna https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje
