Can vaccine side effects occur 3 days after vaccination or does a new infection develop?

On Tuesday, my 4-year-old daughter was vaccinated against nasal flu with the Fluenz Tetra vaccine, today ie on Friday (i.e. 3 days after vaccination) she woke up with a headache, temperature 37.5, bad general well-being, lack of strength, stuffy nose, watery runny nose. Can the side effects of the vaccine occur 3 days after vaccination or is it too late and a new infection develops?

Yes, there could be a result of the vaccine administered. However, it is difficult to determine the specific cause of the ailment on the basis of such a short description. If the symptoms do not go away, it is worth consulting a pediatrician. Flu-like symptoms, however, are not a cause for concern. They indicate that the body produces the antibodies needed to fight the virus. To alleviate them, you can take painkillers, such as Paracetamol: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/59550/paracetamol-hasco-zawiesina/apteki I encourage you to report an adverse reaction if it has not been done so far: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane
