Pyrantelum tablets are used orally during or after meals with water. It can also be taken between meals (not immediately after) and this will not affect the way the medicine works. Taking the medicine with a meal is to help eliminate possible side effects such as nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain. However, this happens rarely. The drug is well tolerated by both children and adults.
