Why did the doctor prescribe this dose of Auglavin PPH to my child?
Hello, a child aged 8 years (weight 30 kg) on the night medical assistance received the antibiotic auglavin PPH (400 mg 57mg / 5 ml) because of strep throat. The doctor on duty calculated the dose 2 times a day for 6.5 ml. I would like to check on what basis I leave it was calculated?

When it comes to dosing, you should follow the information given to you by your doctor - the amount of antibiotic dose depends not only on body weight or age, but also on the type and severity of the infection, the sensitivity of the microorganism causing the infection and the general health of the patient.
Too little of an antibiotic can be ineffective and contribute to the development of bacterial resistance, while too much can be harmful and cause side effects.
