I take Lamilept and have been prescribed Pram. Is this a secure connection? What is the risk of serotonin syndrome with these drugs and in general?

The combination of Lamilept and Pram is generally safe. In clinical trials, a very small percentage of patients (0.1%-0.3%) using drugs from these groups showed a decrease in the seizure threshold and a reduced effectiveness of the anticonvulsant effect of lamotrigine (Lamilept). Any doubts about the therapy used should always be discussed with the attending physician. Any alarming symptoms occurring during treatment should also be reported. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane Serotonin syndrome is rather nothing to fear, drugs belong to completely different groups and work in different mechanisms - only Pram affects the level of the hormone (it is an inhibitor of reuptake). With the correct use of citalopram (Pram), as directed by your doctor, there is little chance of this side effect.
