Hi, I have a question, for 3 years I have put on a levosert insert and for a week my breasts hurt. A month ago I had quite a bountiful period, which I never had. Until I have a fear, I wind up that maybe it fell out. Could this be the case or should I worry?

My insert fell out after 2 years, unfortunately, just during menstruation, which was like never very abundant a lot of clots. Dr. was very surprised because I usually had scanty menstruation. On the same day I started a new one. I hope it will be ok.

The insert may fall out, but these are not common cases. They are generally caused by contractions of the uterine muscles during menstrual bleeding. A prolapse of the system causes you to lose your protection against pregnancy. Symptoms of expulsion of the system may be bleeding from the genital tract and lower abdominal pain, but they do not always occur. According to the documentation of the drug: "It is rare to expel the system, during menstruation, without the patient noticing, but it is possible. The symptom may be an unusual increase in the severity of bleeding during menstrual bleeding." Possible symptoms of prolapse include bleeding from the genital tract or pain in the lower abdomen, but the Levosert system may also fall out unnoticed. Changing the bleeding profile is an indication for contact with a gynecologist - by the way, he can check the location of the IUD using ultrasound. You can talk about your symptoms and doubts through teleconsultation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja The system documentation recommends periodically checking with your fingers (e.g. during bathing) whether the threads are in the right place - this way you can use yourself. I enclose additional information about the drug Levosert, which can be booked on WherePoLek online and collected stationary upon presentation of a prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/43342/levosert-przyrzad/apteki/w-warszawie
