The maximum daily dose of budesonide (the active substance Benodil) for children aged 2 to 11 years is 2 mg. Serving 2 x 1 amp. Benodil 0.5mg/2ml was given a daily dose of 1mg. The daily dose has not been exceeded. Looking at the above information, there was no overdose of the substance by the child, but mistreatment resulting from a misunderstanding. Budesonide is quickly eliminated from the body, it takes about 15 hours. Incorrect dosage of drugs can lead to m.in increase in side effects of the drug. Please observe whether the side effects described in leaflet (https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/92180/benodil-zawiesina/ulotka/253244) have occurred, unless it can be assumed that the dosing error has not adversely affected the child's health.
